New App ensures the voices of children and young people are heard where it matters

The ACYP Voices App is a world-first new App utilising Augmented Reality technology to bring the voices of children and young people into any room, at anytime, anywhere in the state.

Lots of organisations are committed to hearing the voices of children and young people. Using Augmented Reality technology in an App can facilitate bringing the voices of hundreds of children and young people to any location, at any time, in any space.

In a poll conducted by the Advocate over 59% of children and young people said that they did not feel they have a voice or a say in their community.

There are many ways to ensure the voices of children and young people are included in key decisions. This is an innovative way of using emerging technology to ensure more children and young people are included in decisions that affect them and that their voice can reach more decisions makers.

Children and young people are experts in their own lives. Services, practices and ultimately outcomes can only improve by listening to the voices of children and young people.
