How children and young people benefit through participation

Children and young people across NSW frequently tell the Office of the Advocate that they want to play a greater role in their local communities. They want to feel that the adults around them value their contributions and want to act as, and be recognised as, citizens.

Participation

  • Connects them with their community
  • Lets them express their voice and opinions
  • Helps programs and services that are designed for children and young people to better meet their needs.
