This year, Children’s Week runs from 19 to 27 October. For Children’s Week, the Office of the Advocate for Children and Young People (ACYP) is inviting entries for the NSW Children’s Week 2019 Creative Story Competition. ACYP and the NSW Children's Week Committee is also encouraging nominations for the NSW Children’s Week 2019 Awards.

NSW Children’s Week 2019 Creative Story Competition

The competition is an opportunity for children and young people to write a creative story (200 to 500 words) about an issue that is important to them and to other children and young people in 2019. The winning stories will be decided by famous author and Children’s Laureate Morris Gleitzman, together with the NSW Advocate for Children and Young People, the NSW Youth Advisory Council and the NSW Children’s Week Committee.. The competition is open to all children and young people under the age of 18 living in NSW.  Entries close Sunday 6 October 2019. For more information, click the link below.

Children, young people and adults can nominate an individual, group, service or project that falls within the award categories. There are seven awards for children and young people and three awards for adults. Entries close Sunday 6 October 2019. For more information, click on the link below.
