The Australian Children’s Laureate and ACYP came together to host an event on 1 March 2019 at the Sydney Opera House. The consultations with 92 children from primary schools around the state discussed the imagination and how they would like to see books and reading supported more strongly throughout the community. The event brought together all five of Australia’s Children’s Laureates: Boori Monty Pryor, Alison Lester, Jackie French, Leigh Hobbs and Morris Gleitzman. On the day, the young people also participated in workshops with the Laureates.
