## Consultation for the Children’s Online Privacy Code
From April to August 2025, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner sought views to help inform the development of a [Children’s Online Privacy Code.](https://www.oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-registers/privacy-codes/childrens-online-privacy-code)
The *Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act* 2024 (the Act) introduced a mandate for the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) to develop a Children’s Online Privacy Code (the Code), which will put children at the centre of privacy protections in Australia, leveraging insights from our international counterparts**.**
ACYP made a written submission in July 2025.
