Through our Regional Consultation Program and NGO Forum we have heard from people who work in the interests of children and young people every day. We have held consultations in Illawarra Shoalhaven, Mid North Coast, Far Western NSW, Central Coast, Far West, Hunter New England and South Western Sydney!
This process has been invaluable in hearing from people who represent government departments, agencies and organisations that work in the interests of children and young people every day. On 28 August 2015, people who work with children and young people in the Illawarra came together to contribute to a new NSW strategic plan.
On 11 September 2015, people who work with children and young people in the Central Coast came together to contribute to a new NSW strategic plan.
On 17 September 2015, people who work with children and young people in the Mid North Coast came together to contribute to a new NSW strategic plan.
In October 2015, people who work with children and young people in the Far West came together to contribute to a new NSW strategic plan.
In October 2015, people who work with children and young people in the Hunter New England came together to contribute to a new NSW strategic plan.
In November 2015, people who work with children and young people in South Western Sydney came together to contribute to a new NSW strategic plan.
The Office of the Advocate for Children and Young People held a forum in July of 2015 with over 100 non-government and civil society organisations to gain their input on the themes and directions for the Strategic Plan for Children and Young People.
