Submission to the Australian Government’s Early Years Strategy

In 2023, the Australian Government’s Department of Social Services consulted to inform the development of a strategy that would help children aged 0-5 and their families to learn, grow and thrive.

The consultation included:

  • A National Early Years Summit
  • A quantitative survey with 2,240 responses
  • A discussion paper with more than 350 public submissions
  • 39 roundtables with 750 participants across Australia
  • consultation with 115 children aged 3 to 5 years

In 2024, the Department of Social Services published a 10-year Early Years Strategy.

ACYP made a written submission on 8 May 2023.
