Submission to review of out-of-home care costs and pricing

Out-of-home care is provided to children and young people who cannot live with their own families. In NSW, it is provided by the Department of Communities and Justice, as well as by non-government providers.

The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal NSW (IPART) is reviewing the cost of delivering out-of-home care and the pricing arrangements with the non-government providers who deliver care under contract with the NSW Government.

ACYP made a written submission in November 2024 and responded to the IPART draft report in May 2025.
