The Office of the Advocate for Children and Young People (ACYP) today launched an educational video resource that covers the meaning, history and significance of child rights and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The video release coincides with United Nations World Children’s Day (November 20).
Depicted through animation, the educational resource outlines a comprehensive overview of the United Nations Conventions on the Rights of the Child, its history and background and the four overarching Articles that apply across all other rights in the Convention: Article 2 non-discrimination, Article 3 best interests, Article 6 survival and development and Article 12 participation.
