Did you know that children aged 1-16 are more likely to die from injury than any other cause?
The NSW Children and Young People Injury Prevention (CYPIP) Working Group, chaired by the Advocate for Children and Young People, is a group of experts including academics and representatives of government agencies and NGOs concerned with the prevention of injuries to children and young people. It has been established to lead priority setting and identify and define strategies for the field of paediatric injury in NSW.
Together the working group has collaborated to develop a review of current information relating to unintentional childhood injury. This report provides an overview of current evidence and best practice in the occurrence, prevention and management of unintentional childhood injury.
This report is a valuable reference tool as we continue to work together to reduce the impact of childhood injury.
