Ellen, 19, from Allambie Heights in Sydney, is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of others. As a Lived Experience Storyteller at Batyr and a member of their National Youth Advisory Group, she sheds light on the experiences of those facing physical and mental health challenges, raising awareness, and encouraging resilience. Ellen also advocates for the rights and wellbeing of autistic girls and gender diverse individuals through speaker panels organised by Yellow Ladybugs and Orygen, aiming to break down barriers and promote inclusivity in society.

Ellen hopes to create a healthcare system that not only meets the specific needs of the vulnerable population but also provides them with the support and accessibility they deserve, “I am thrilled to have an opportunity to work on improving the lives of young people as part of the YAC", said Ellen.
