Classroom consultations involve a facilitated conversation where a number of thought-provoking questions are posed to students and their collective answers are recorded and collated. This information is then fed back to the Advocate for Children and Young People who uses this inform the NSW Government’s work in the interests of children and young people.
We are currently undertaking consultations on a new NSW Government Plan for Children and Young People. If you are a teacher interested in conducting a classroom consultation on this topic, please contact us by emailing acyp@acyp.nsw.gov.au
If you would like the Advocate for Children and Young People to visit your school to conduct a consultation please email us at acyp@acyp.nsw.gov.au

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as the First Nations Peoples of NSW and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future.
Informed by lessons of the past, ACYP is improving how we work with Aboriginal people and communities. We listen and learn from the knowledge, strength and resilience of Stolen Generations Survivors, Aboriginal Elders and Aboriginal communities.
