To celebrate the various experiences of young people who arrived in Australia as a refugee or migrant we ran a short film competition. The theme was 'Tell us a story'.
We invited young people to teach others about their culture through a 2-minute film. The story could be completely made up or have happened in real life.
Entries were welcome from any young person aged 13 – 24 years, living in NSW, who identified as someone who arrived in Australia as a refugee or migrant. Entries closed on Tuesday 25 June. Shortlisted submissions will have the opportunity to showcase their film at a screening event at the Riverside Theatre in Parramatta on Wednesday 14 August, 2024. Winners will be announced shortly.
