Tom is 23 years old and grew up in Sydney before moving to his family’s farm in Illabo, rural NSW. He is actively involved in his community through the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) and his church.
He is also a former Australian Rope Skipping team member, competing in five World Championships and winning a gold medal in the 2023 International Open in Colorado.
He believes change starts when one person believes in something bigger than themself and he hopes to inspire young people to volunteer in their local community.
Tom applied for the YAC because he believes that every generation is capable of greatness. He sees youth as creatively free and wants to help support them as they dream big to solve complex problems and build a better world.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as the First Nations Peoples of NSW and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future.
Informed by lessons of the past, ACYP is improving how we work with Aboriginal people and communities. We listen and learn from the knowledge, strength and resilience of Stolen Generations Survivors, Aboriginal Elders and Aboriginal communities.
