Sonja is 20 years old from Liverpool in Sydney. Currently a student at the University of Sydney, she is dedicated to addressing socio-economic inequality in education. Through her community involvement, she actively mentors’ youth in care and leads dance groups for young individuals. Sonja possesses valuable first-hand experience working with youth with disabilities and has successfully collaborated with UN Youth NSW to organise impactful educational initiatives for students. “I was so excited when I got the call, to be selected and represent my peers on the Youth Advisory Council is an honour. I can’t wait to get to work with my fellow YAC members”, said Sonja. |
